The Cosmic Pro Carbon was originally used primarily for fast, flat racing, but gradual improvements have given it the versatility it once lacked. At only 1650g with a 45mm rim height, this wheel system provides the perfect balance of light weight and aerodynamic performance.
The new 25mm-wide rim shape is NACA compliant, providing low drag and excellent stability in side winds. It is an innovative hybrid of aluminum alloy and carbon, utilizing the best features of both materials. The aluminum alloy rim core is ISM (Inter Spoke Milling) machined to remove excess material between each spoke, minimizing weight. The height of the carbon rim improves aerodynamics by increasing the width of the rim and reducing drag. It's the structural part of the wheel that adds lateral and frontal stiffness that riders race on.
The rims are intertwined with our patented aerodynamic spokes, saving another few watts. And the hubs are equipped with an Instant Drive 360 drum, which runs on super-smooth bearings. It's also easily interchangeable from Shimano / SRAM cassettes to Campagnolo cassettes.
The Cosmic Pro Carbon is equipped with Yksion Pro tires with a diameter of 25 mm, which provide better performance and rolling comfort. The GripLink front tire has a 127 TPI flexible casing reinforced with a strong Kevlar anti-puncture belt. The tread pattern is optimized for cornering, even on wet roads. The Powerlink rear tire also has a 127 TPI flexible casing and a lightweight nylon anti-puncture belt, as well as a special tread pattern for extremely low rolling resistance.
