WTB introduces the new Raddler gravel tire, available in 700 x 40mm and 700 x 44mm sizes, as a more aggressive alternative to its Riddler siblings. The new tread pattern has increased block height and spacing throughout the tread, and even more height has been added to the outer blocks to improve cornering grip in loose terrain. The durability of Riddler's original tread pattern has also been improved by increasing the area of all center and intermediate blocks. With a name that speaks for itself, the Raddler combines the efficiency of the midline with short blocks with the grip of the visible outer blocks. It's a semislick, but designed to boost confidence when pushing the limits of gravel.
Five years ago, the Riddler tread pattern was originally introduced as a mountain bike tire with minimal center blocks combined with strong outer blocks to provide optimal pedaling efficiency without sacrificing grip when cornering. A year later, we expanded the Riddler family to include a 700c version with 37mm and 45mm widths to meet the needs of cross-country riders, gravel riders and cyclists moving with panniers. Introducing the wheel of evolution, we are introducing the Raddler model to combine the aggressive approach of our initial mountain design with the gravel format of the proven 37/45 Riddler. Our development has resulted in a fast gravel tire with the soul of a mountain bike. Do you love the proven gravel Riddler tire? Don't worry, it will remain in the WTB tire lineup for cyclists who want a semislick with shorter blocks.
Raddler 40/44 tires are available in 700c with black or brown sidewalls.
