VENTOUS DISK Braking efficiency much better with disc brakes.
Disc brakes are becoming increasingly popular in road bicycles, the fashion is also for wider rims, and the tubeless system with its advantages displaces rather cumbersome in operation rails. VENTOUS DISC and KONAX PRO DISC are TOKEN's offerings that are gaining popularity and interest.
The first impression we have when taking the wheels out of the box is their quality and exceptional beauty. While the impression of beauty is a matter of taste (although so far no one has accused these wheels of being ugly :-)), the quality of TOKEN's workmanship is exceptional. Everything worked out to the smallest detail. Every detail, detail, element ... TOKEN is a company that is very serious about the high quality of its products. In today's demanding market there is no place for companies that try to save on quality. This is quickly exposed by cyclists who want above-average equipment. And TOKEN raises the currant very high in this regard.
The beautiful Ventous and Konax rims are made using a completely different technology than most manufacturers do. They are not glued from many carbon leaves, but are made from a single piece precisely machined. I invite you to the article where you can get a closer look at the technology called CONTI-FIBRE
The rims allow the use of wider tires. This ensures a confident and smooth ride especially on winding trails. Ventous from Konax Pro differ in the height of the cone.
The rims are already prepared by the manufacturer for UST tubeless tires. Installation of tubeless tires is very simple. These tires are becoming increasingly popular on the road. Their handling is simple and can be done by anyone. TOKEN makes it even easier for us by taping the rims with high-quality 3M tape. High-quality hubs adapted for D1 disc brakes ensure very low rolling resistance and long trouble-free operation. They were designed specifically for road wheels. According to the manufacturer, a high-precision 5-axis CNC machine tool was used for machining. Whatever that means :-) it guarantees us very high quality workmanship. Wherever strength was not affected, excess material was removed, which affected the weight of these hubs.
D1 hubs are adapted to Center Lock brake discs. A 12x100 mm axle at the front and a 12x142 mm axle at the rear are fitted as standard. (It is possible to use these hubs for 9x100 mm axle front and 10x135 mm rear). Basically all the replacement parts are obtainable. The hubs are equipped with drums that support the Shimano/Sram 10-11s standard but can be equipped with the SRAM XD standard on request. Premium quality bearings are well sealed. Also, the hub design makes it difficult for various types of dirt to get inside.
Finally, a few words about the spokes :-). The wheels use shaded black spokes from Pillar Wing series. Cold drawn from a tough material mysteriously named T302+. This ensured a weight reduction of 30% without compromising strength. The spokes look great.
