The XDR drive is a universal mounting system designed for cassettes containing fewer than 11 teeth. This innovative mechanism enables the creation of lighter and more versatile drivetrains, eliminating the need for new axle standards, hub conversions or investing in new cassette handling tools. The XDR interface features a length that is 1.85 mm longer than the XD standard, and has been specifically optimized for racing hub applications. XDR drive units are compatible with all XD cassettes, provided the cassette is mounted with an additional 1.85 mm space.
