Schwalbe's new Ice Spiker Pro Performance is even lighter, has better grip and is faster.
With about 400 aluminum spikes, it drives hard into icy roads. The tungsten carbide core of each stud is covered with lightweight aluminum. The tire remains agile and sporty.

Things you should know about studded tires:
Can you ride studded tires on normal roads too? No problem. However, if the snow is rather sparse and the roads are mostly cleared of snow then, the driving noises will quickly become annoying.
Will I slip then? No. The spikes penetrate normal asphalt roads very well. Even fast turns are not a problem.
Are spikes forbidden? On bicycle tires, spikes are not a problem. In some countries, spikes are banned only on motor vehicles because they damage roads. In the case of fast E-bikes, some may be considered motor vehicles.
How necessary is it to ride in these tires? Tires should be ridden after about 40 kilometers on asphalt roads to ensure a firm hold on the studs. Avoid rapid acceleration and braking during this time.
What is the life of the studs? All Schwalbe spikes have a core made of extremely wear-resistant carbide (tungsten carbide). With these spikes you can drive several thousand kilometers.
