The Schwalbe Eddy Current Rear Gravity Pro is a folding tyre developed specifically for the rear wheel of electric mountain bikes. Its substantial tread, featuring robust centre blocks and stable shoulder lugs, transfers high drive forces effectively while delivering reliable acceleration and braking traction on steep, demanding trails.

The Gravity Pro radial casing uses threads positioned at a flatter angle than those found in conventional cross-ply constructions. This allows the tyre to adapt more flexibly to uneven terrain and can increase its contact area by up to 30% at the same pressure. Its multi-layer construction and additional reinforcements improve puncture protection and sidewall stability.

The Soft compound combines grip, damping and versatility for trail, all-mountain, enduro and downhill riding. Inspired by motocross tyres, the HS497 tread pattern is tailored to the greater weight and powerful torque of modern electric mountain bikes.

For the front wheel, Schwalbe recommends the Magic Mary Gravity Pro for varied enduro and downhill conditions or the Albert Gravity Pro for harder surfaces where durability and lower rolling resistance are priorities.
