A newer improved version of Yellow King. Designed for carbon rims, the pads feature the best linear increase in braking force of all the brand's pads. This means that it increases in direct proportion to the degree of pressure on the brake lever. The special compound allows excellent modulation, even at low speeds. On descents, the Black Prince brakes from 60km/h to 0km/h over a 90-meter distance, in wet conditions.
In comparison, the popular model for carbon rims, Yellow King in identical conditions needs as little as 121m. In doing so, it also reaches a higher maximum temperature (303 degrees C) than the Black Prince (171 degrees C).
