A true racing tire for true racers. High capacity, high speed, high grip - IKON delivers exemplary performance in a wide range of ground conditions, on hard to loose soils. On rocks and roots, even when wet, the 3C and Tanwall versions are particularly convincing. For very difficult, rocky terrain, the IKON 3C is also available in an EXO-Protection version that safely protects the sidewalls with little additional load.
Dual Compound, 3C MaxxSpeed or 3C MaxxTerra options
60 TPI or 120 TPI casing options
EXO sidewall protection
Tubeless Ready (TR)
TUBELESSREADY - Tubeless tires provide many benefits to the cyclist: the ability to ride with lower air pressure, which improves grip; lower rolling resistance compared to a tubeless tire; and less chance of flatting because there is no tube. Liquid sealants should only be used in the following types of tires: tubeless road, tubeless-ready and tubeless-ready.
3CMAXXSPEED - Used primarily in cross country and enduro tires, two compounds in the outer layer have been specially formulated to reduce rolling resistance and optimize tread wear and grip.
3CMAXXTERRA - An intermediate compound configuration used in select mountain tires. 3C MaxxTerra is softer and provides better grip than 3C MaxxSpeed, but provides better tread wear and less rolling resistance than MaxxGrip.
EXO - Extremely cut and abrasion resistant material added to the sidewalls of select mountain tires. This densely woven fabric is also lightweight and highly flexible, keeping tire performance intact. Choose EXO Protection for extremely rocky, treacherous trails where sidewall cuts and abrasions are likely
DUALCOMPOUND - Two rubber compounds are used in the tire's tread. This offers lower rolling resistance and increases cornering grip
