Shimano Deore FC M6000 Hollowtech II crank
The new Deore, code-named 6000, remains a 10-speed group as before, but as is common with the latest unveilings, the new group has received a number of refinements taken from the higher groups, designed to improve shifting reliability and smoothness. The revised Hollowtech II standard crankset has received a design with the 4-arm spider characteristic of the higher groups. The cranks come in versions for both 2x10 and 3x10 drivetrains. Both cranks can be combined with the new HG500 cassette with a wide gear range of 11-42T, or with three other cassettes with a smaller range: 11-36/34/32T. The rear derailleur is equipped with a Shadow RD+ clutch, which takes care of a more secure grip on the chain, eliminating unwanted chain hopping over bumps, while at the same time providing more reliable shifting. Shifting gears in the new group is the responsibility of the manoeuvres in both clamp and direct-mount I-Spec II versions equipped with Rapidfire Plus technology, next to the manoeuvres we will see the BL-M6000 lever, which operates the BR-M6000 hydraulic disc brakes, in the design of which the cooling problem has been improved.
