Shimano has followed an unchanging policy for many years - the latest technologies always appear in the top XTR group, which are very highly priced, and after a while they flow down to the lower groups and become more friendly to the wallet of the average MTB rider, and thus simply more accessible. In fact, we don't really mind, because this way we know what to expect in the near future. When the first 1x12 drivetrain with a gear range of 10-51T signed with the XTR logo was introduced in 2018, many people were impatiently waiting for the technologies used to move to lower groups - Deore XT and SLX. And indeed, Shimano soon introduced these groups for sale.
