The Shimano SLX CS-M7100 12-speed cassette creates a wide range that experienced MTB riders will appreciate. The component comes in two versions: the 10-51 range will come in handy on steeper climbs, while the 10-45 cassette's tighter alignment means extremely smooth shifting on slightly less hilly terrain. The SLX CS-M7100 works with a Micro Spline cassette, which is great for the smallest 10T cog. The lace ramps have been milled on both sides with the HyperGlide+ system. This aids shifting in rough terrain and keeps the chain tight. The spider and the largest sprocket were created from aluminum, while the rest of the cranks are made from steel. This combination is a guarantee of the component's strength and lightness.
A cassette with 10-45 teeth causes as little gear jumping as possible, while a cassette with 10-51 teeth covers a wide range of gears. Both versions have an aluminum spider design, and the two largest sprockets are also made of aluminum. This not only reduces weight, but also improves strength and durability.
The 10-45 and 10-51T cassettes use SHIMANO's new MICRO SPLINE FREEHUB rear hub body and Hyperglide+ tooth profiling technology, combined with ADVANCED technology to achieve unmatched shifting performance.
