The pulse oximeter sensor in the vívosmart 4 estimates your blood oxygen saturation level. Your pulse oximeter measurements depend on many factors, including your overall health and fitness.Checking your pulse oximeter can help you assess how your body is absorbing oxygen. Turn on the SpO2 measurement function at night or use it to take a spot measurement at any time to learn more about your body.

Advanced sleep monitoring
en is important for overall health, well-being and fitness. To give you an idea of how you sleep, vívosmart 4 tracks shallow, deep and REM sleep phases, as well as movement throughout the night. For more information, turn on the Pulse Oximeter feature to view your blood oxygen levels while you sleep. Body Energy Optimization
Body Battery energy monitoring in vívosmart 4 uses a combination of stress, heart rate variability (HRV), sleep and activity to measure your body's energy reserves at any time, so you can plan your day to optimize activity time and rest. A higher number indicates that you are ready to be active, while a lower number suggests that you may need to relax and rest before starting your workout. Body Battery can also help you understand patterns throughout the week, so you can understand how the last few days have affected how you feel today.

All-day stress tracking
You most likely experience stress at some point during the day, but to what extent? The vívosmart 4 will let you know when you're having a calm, balanced or stressful day and everything in between.By tracking HRV (heartbeat intervals), the vívosmart 4 calculates and displays your stress level. There is also an optional "Relaxation Reminder" feature that can be enabled in the Garmin Connect app. If your stress level increases during the day, a vibration alert will appear on your wrist and display a message ("Take a moment to breathe?") to let you know it's time to relax. Use the relaxation breathing timer to guide you through the four-breathing technique, which is proven to calm your mind and body.

Track your active life
The vívosmart 4 greets you each day with a personalized step goal. It then tracks and displays your progress. In addition to steps, its activity tracking features include floors climbed, calories burned, and get-up alerts to remind you when it's time to get up and move. Track your workouts You can use pre-loaded activity counters to track exercise time and more. When you use the strength training activity, it will record your exercises, repetitions and series along with your work and rest times, so you can leave a note at home. And if you forget to start the stopwatch, the vívosmart 4's Move IQ™ feature automatically detects exercises such as walking, swimming, cycling and elliptical machine workouts, and even starts a countdown of your selected activities. Once completed, your activities are uploaded to Garmin Connect, our online community, where you can view, edit and share activities with your connections and friends.

Daily monitoring of fitness and well-being
Using Elevate™ heart rate data collected from your wrist, the vívosmart 4 can - with an estimated oxygen ceiling - give an idea of your current fitness level. In general, as aerobic capacity increases, VO2 max does the same. Based on your oxygen ceiling, the vívosmart 4 device can also estimate your fitness age - a statistic that you can reduce over time with hard work and exercise. For more information, the vívosmart 4 will notify you if your heart rate unexpectedly rises above a preset threshold. If you are inactive for more than 10 minutes and your heart rate stays above the set threshold, you will receive an alert.

Stay connected
With the vívosmart 4 wrist monitor, you don't have to choose between staying connected and being more active. Check the weather, control your music, receive smart notifications, find your phone and even respond with pre-set text responses (Android only) and access social media notifications on the tracker screen - all without taking out your smartphone. Share and compete Monitoring activity and achievements is easy with the vívosmart 4. The monitor automatically syncs with our Garmin Connect online community, where you can view your progress, join challenges, earn color-coded badges and even share on social media. Garmin Connect is free and available online or on your smartphone with the Garmin Connect app.
