Undisputed All-Mountain Champion: 36 A Float 29" Performance 3Pos Grip Tapered Boost

Designed for aggressive trail riders, the Performance 36 series includes a GRIP damper, FLOAT air spring and a durable frame. The 36 provides proven trail performance that adds confidence and control.

The new 36 and 38 models feature a new patented floating axle system controlled by a quick-release lever, combining the benefits of a floating axle with tool-free ease of use. With this system, the spacing is locked in place with a floating bushing, allowing the front wheel to be removed and reinstalled multiple times while maintaining perfect fork alignment. The position of the floating bushing is preset at the factory, so if you're not sure how to operate the floating axle system or just don't want to worry about it, simply install the front wheel and hit the road.

Modern frame designs and geometry trends require modern solutions in suspension design. The curve design of the new 36, 38 and 40 models has been created to work perfectly with modern Enduro and Downhill bikes. Steering tube profiles are getting larger and fork offsets are getting shorter. The new bow shape takes this need into account, projecting forward to provide sufficient space in the steerer tube area during full compression. Advanced computer modeling techniques helped us create an organic lower leg shape that optimizes stiffness with minimal material.

Technologies:

GRIP Muffler: Inspired by motorcycles, the new GRIP muffler uses FIT sealed cartridge technology combined with a floating, spring-loaded piston. GRIP allows excess oil to drain through specially designed holes at the top of the damper, maintaining uniform damping and increasing durability. Performance Series forks offer Open, Medium and Stiff modes, with additional micro-adjustment between settings.
